I know apple generally sells the Macbook Pro with a totally free ipod as a new school year starts. Will they do the exact same or a thing related with the iPad? (seeking to purchase an iPad, not certain if i need to wait or not)

Almost certainly not with the iPad as it costs substantially more than the iPod nano or touch. The very best I think you can anticipate would be the ability to select a discount on the iPad over an iPod.
