On sims three I am married and live with someone but how can you get a child ( on iPad/iPhone) on it

I don't believe you can unless you obtain the Sims 3 Ambitions. I have Sims 3 and Sims three Globe Adventures on my iPod, but I can't have youngsters. I read somewhere that you can if you purchase Sims three Ambitions though.
