Question by : What would you like to see in the next generation iPod? The iPod Touch 5G.
A lot of the capabilities of course would follow from the iPhone.
..And you know what I believe would be excellent, is if Apple released the iPhone and iPod Touch at the same time. :D That would be fair, they'd match and interact together nicely.
Anyway, it must pack:
-A slightly thinner (20%) design, with an aluminium backing, related to the iPad's.
-New storage- 16GB min, 32GB, 64GB and 82GB.
(16GB is the cost of the earlier 8GB which must be cancelled)
-Two colours- a black glass front and shell, and a white one (that really comes out with it as nicely).
The Apple logo on the black a single is white and on the white a single is dark grey.
-A nonetheless contoured design, with tapered edges, but not as tapered, so it is a bit far more rectangular. (It's difficult to explain, but the back will still be totally flat). The volume buttons are still on the left side but are the colour of the aluminium back (black or white) and have signs + and - the opposite colour of the colour of the aluminium on them. There is also a button above those like on the iPhone and iPad that, in the Settings, can be altered to be employed for either orientation lock or mute. It is not a slide design button, just a single button that has to be held for a couple of seconds.
The buttons, due to the slim-lined style, are still sort of on the back, but up a bit higher, quite close to the screen, so they can still be felt with the finger if you run it along the extremely thin side.
-A new dual-core processor, supposedly deemed "A5", as nicely as a new vibration motor with that for vibrating alerts.
-Enhanced battery life that lasts about an hour longer than the prior model (average).
-A slightly enhanced microphone and speaker. The spot hasn't changed- there is nevertheless only a single visible speaker, covered with mesh inside, visible down the bottom on the left. On the right is the earphone/headphone port as usual. And on the back, with the new camera, is the other mic.
-A new screen, wider by a few mm, to match with the adjust of the iPhone screen size. Exact same retina resolution from preceding generation, this time with IPS display technology like the iPhone for much better colours and viewing angles.
-Stronger glass, much better anti-smudge, anti-glare and scratch proof screen.
-three mega pixel rear facing camera with mic accompanying for recording sound.
-Improved front facing camera quality for FaceTime calling+
Potential for up to 4 way conferencing with FaceTime.
-iOS 5 built-in.
-Elevated RAM- possibly greater than 512MB depending on iPhone 5G RAM.
-1.5GHz.
-Complete bluetooth functionality, compatible with a lot of multimedia files from other phones.
-Built in bluetooth app for easy bluetooth file exchange and communicating (video calling+advanced IM should be bought separately for a price tag from app retailer).
-Faster, better responding Wi-Fi chip.
-HD nevertheless photos. A lot much more built-in camera attributes, for each cameras (mainly for rear).
-Greater photo uploading (decide on from several social networks, not just YouTube).
-Wireless syncing to iTunes on Mac or Pc with bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
-Built in FM radio or DAB radio (CEO Jobs may possibly want to jump to the future, as usual).
Other notes:
-The iPhone is and always will be recognized as the much better touchscreen iDevice, and the 'full thing'.
Attributes the iPhone undoubtedly has above the iPod Touch, and ought to often have contain the larger resolution camera (supposedly 8MP on the fifth gen), 3G/4G- it would be absurd to add that to the iPod Touch, that is what all smartphones use now- it is not a less costly version of the iPhone! GPS chip built-in- you can manually add GPS attributes to the iPod anyway, but it isn't known to be a 'GPS' device, compared to the iPhone, which can be taken about in the car and do a great job at helping you navigate! External speaker at the best (in the middle above the screen)- I've noticed that recommended but certainly no, that tends to make it appear specifically like the iPhone. The iPod and iPhone Have to be distinct items.
That is all. :-)
To mark the iPod Touch's fifth anniversary, discount cards should be packaged with every iPod Touch, permitting you to top rated up your Apple Retailer account credit by $ 30 for only $ 20! :D
