Refursbished first generation 32 gig or new ipad 2 16 gig?

I would like to get the ipad 2 32 gig but cannot afford it so I am looking at a 16 gig ipad 2. I was seeking at Apples site and noticed they are selling the refurbished 1st generation ipad with 32 gigs for 429.00.
What ought to I purchase? The 32 gig initial generation ipad or the 16 gig ipad 2?

If you watch a bunch of movies get the 32 gig but if you play games and use apps i would get the new ipad two
