I may be able to get an ipad for the holidays but i am not positive climate forget the 3g or wifi. Is it a one time payment or a month to month payment?

3g service is optional and you in no way have to get it. It's a month to month plan. The 3g enabled iPads are about $ 130 much more than the wifi only iPads.
