I have a Espon stylus NX420 and I bot to print a project that I worked on that I wrote on the pages app. How do I set up my iPad to my printer?

There is airprint, but that isn't supported by your printer, so the only alternative is to get an application for your mac that "catches" print commands, wirelessly, from your iPad and sends it to an attached printer (to the mac). One particular such system, really well-known also, is Printopia. There are others like Print Central
