Does anyone recommend me buying Ipad2 in my situation?

Question by pikachu: Does anybody recommend me getting Ipad2 in my circumstance?
I am going to be a college sophomore this fall.
I bought my $ 1200 laptop that is for entertainment such as gaming.
Specs are I7 Intel Core , 6G Ram, supreme Graphic card. 17.2inch screen.
But I am having a difficulty since it is very tough to bring my laptop to the lectures.
I feel so desperate when I go to library and write my essay and do my homework.

So I decided to acquire an additional device that makes it possible for me to do the function.
And I also have a smartphone Droid Incredible.

Can you sort things and write essays on Ipad2?
Is it difficult to sort on Ipad2?
Do you need to have a physical keyboard?
What accessories do I need to purchase?
And what are the approx expenses?

I've in no way tried Ipod touch or Ipad. (I only utilised Ipad classic and Nano)
I want to explore Apple Apps.

But Ipad does not have USB ports, flash. And poor video good quality.
Is it greater to acquire netbook and ipod touch? or just ipad?
Some men and women mention that Ipad is excellent for gaming.
But.. come on...
I don't treat those games as legit games.
I can do games on my Droid smartphone.
