funny, i only have this ipad wi-fi version, so technically, it does not have any GPS chips in it, i.e. it can not connect to the satellite to pinpoint my location, nevertheless in google maps of the ipad(or ipod touch wi-fi version), i can pinpoint my location.
Can anybody tell me what the hell is going on here? how do you pinpoint oneself without a GPS?

The ipad then knows where you are and shows it on the map
