There is Very high demand. Apple purposely limited quantities to develop hype. They even released tens of thousands to modest little countries in asia with little tech just to increase demand in larger markets like US, Japan, Europe.
Make sure you get exactly the model that you want. Do not just settle for what they have left in stock, since they are NOT upgradeable.
